There are ample resources in the libraries of Cross and Woodruff Counties for studying local history and genealogy. The Cross County Library and the Augusta Library both have an "Arkansas Room" where books documenting local heritage are available. All materials are cataloged and included in the library catalog.  The Parkin Branch Library also has a "Parkin Room" with historical documents and materials about the community.

Both the Wynne and Augusta libraries carry extensive microfilm holdings of Cross and Woodruff County newspapers, many dating back to the early 1900s. The Cross County Library also has microfilm holdings of newspapers from St. Francis County. Both libraries may have microfilm of area census records and other local records. Reader/Printers are available.
